What Does A Burnt Valve Look Like. Basically a sort of fogged greyish white around the outside of the valve. The black looks like burnt oil or carbon buildup, hard to tell from the pic but it does look pretty expansive, certainly not something that happens from running the car full hot for a few minutes, thats a long term thing there
In this case, “green means stop.”. When a portion of the exhaust valve itself turns green, it means the valve is severely burned and weakened, and the valve should be replaced immediately. You should take some time to learn about what causes burnt transmission fluid and then find out what you should do about it so that it doesn’t create further issues with your car.

However, A Sticking Valve Can Be Telling You That There Are Carbon Deposits On The Valve Stem.
Popped the heads on my flathead and noticed the exhaust valve in #1 looked grey. When a portion of the exhaust valve itself turns green, it means the valve is severely burned and weakened, and the valve should be replaced immediately. This is an exhaust valve from the olds 307.

As You Can See, The Valve Face Is Badly Pitted And The Stem Tip Is Chipped Up.
I personally i personally have had them caused by debris i believe the be at fault i've also had it driven into me that running a motor lean which would make it run hotter in the combustion chamber could burn a valve more commonly i run into it usually a. A burned valve would not normally allow carbon to make its way into the valve cover. When the plug is pulled, it might have a chalky appearance on the ground strap and center electrode.
