Fisker Ocean SUV impresses at CES with Panasonic audio system

Fisker Inc., a company that aims to create the world’s most emotional and sustainable electric vehicles, showcased its award-winning Fisker Ocean SUV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, in partnership with Panasonic. The Fisker Ocean SUV features a bespoke premium audio system, called Fisker Pulse, powered by ELS STUDIO 3D® PREMIUM AUDIO, developed by Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America.

The Fisker Ocean SUV is an all-electric vehicle that combines style, performance, and sustainability. The Fisker Ocean SUV has an EPA range of 360 miles, which is the longest range of any new electric SUV in its class. The Fisker Ocean SUV also has the lowest published carbon footprint of any electric SUV, as it uses over 110 lbs. of recycled and bio-based materials, is built at a carbon-neutral facility, and integrates rooftop solar panels, adding up to 1,500 miles/year of range.

The Fisker Ocean SUV has a spacious and luxurious interior, with a 16-inch touch screen, a 9.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and a full-length glass roof. The Fisker Ocean SUV also offers various driving modes, such as Sport, Eco, and Off-Road, and supports over-the-air updates, which allow the manufacturer to enhance the vehicle functionality and security remotely.

The Fisker Ocean SUV is available in two versions: the Fisker Ocean One launch edition, which is a limited edition of 5,000 units, and the Fisker Extreme SUV, which is a high-performance version with a more aggressive design and features.

The Fisker Pulse audio system and its benefits

The Fisker Pulse audio system is a custom-made premium audio system that provides a studio-quality sound experience in the Fisker Ocean SUV. The Fisker Pulse audio system is powered by ELS STUDIO 3D® PREMIUM AUDIO, a technology developed by Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America, with guidance from Grammy-award-winning producer Elliot Scheiner.

The Fisker Pulse audio system has 575 watts of power and 15 speakers, including nine speakers that are hidden beneath the Ocean’s interior materials, creating a clean appearance, four speakers that are mounted in the headliner, achieving a surround sound effect, and four subwoofers that provide robust bass without distortion.

The Fisker Pulse audio system also has a sustainability-focused design, as it uses neodymium magnet circuit designs that reduce the overall weight of each individual speaker by 30-60% and draw an estimated 60% less energy than a typical audio system with similar acoustic output.

The CES event and the feedback

The Fisker Ocean SUV was featured at the Panasonic booth during CES, which ran from January 9-12. The CES is an annual technology-focused trade event that attracts thousands of attendees, exhibitors, and media from around the world. The Fisker Ocean SUV drew the attention of many attendees, who explored the vehicle and enjoyed audio demos.

The Fisker Ocean SUV received positive feedback from the attendees, who praised its design, features, and sound quality. The Fisker Ocean SUV also received several awards and recognitions from various media outlets and organizations, such as the CES Innovation Award, the Car and Driver Editor’s Choice Award, and the Green Car Journal Green Car of the Year Award.

To date, Fisker has delivered over 5,000 all-electric Ocean SUVs in the US, Canada, and Europe. The Fisker Ocean SUV is expected to launch in other markets, such as China, India, and Australia, in the near future.
