TIKA’s Humanitarian Touch: Nourishing Mongolian Households

In a significant humanitarian gesture, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has extended a helping hand to 1,200 Mongolian households, providing them with essential food aid. This act of kindness is part of TIKA’s Ramadan program, which aims to share the spirit of the holy month with those in need. The food packages distributed are a beacon of hope for many families in Mongolia, reflecting TIKA’s commitment to supporting communities and fostering international solidarity.

A Sustained Effort for Social Good

TIKA’s initiative in Mongolia is not a standalone act but part of a broader mission that has seen the implementation of nearly 900 projects across various sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture. The organization’s efforts have been instrumental in improving the lives of many in Mongolia, and the Ramadan food aid program is a continuation of this noble pursuit.

The distribution of food packages took place in several districts of the capital city Ulaanbaatar, as well as in the provinces of Uvs, Khuvsgul, and Bayan-Ulgii. The aid included seven types of essential goods, ensuring that the beneficiaries received a comprehensive supply of necessities.

Collaboration for Compassion

The success of this food aid program is also a testament to the power of collaboration. TIKA partnered with local NGOs, including My World, El Birligi, and Bridge to Support Human Development, to ensure the aid reached the intended recipients. The Narkhan Children’s Orphanage played a pivotal role in the distribution, ensuring that the aid provided much-needed relief to the children under its care.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Mongolia, Zafer Ates, emphasized the brotherly friendship between Türkiye and Mongolia. He highlighted that such projects and programs continue to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
